Rio Rosa Mosqueta, a local company based in Brighton are creating products that are not only good for your skin but the planet and our pockets too.??For over 30 years, they?ve studied the healing, enriching powers of Rosa Mosqueta.?The herbs and extracts we source today are the same homegrown variety people of South America have harvested for centuries.
They really care about where the products are sourced and them being organic and as natural as possible. No colourings, no additives, no nasties. Just 100% pure natural extracts and ingredients sourced and prepared to an age-old South American tradition.
[otw_shortcode_quote border_style=”bordered”]We always buy fair trade where we can. We staunchly support the conservation of South America and its communities. And all our products are EcoControl certified: the strictest standard of testing for natural cosmetics.[/otw_shortcode_quote]
I was sent the eye contour cream (15ml) & intensive night treatment (30ml) to try and review as I expressed an interest in those. These 2 products caught my eye as they were something I didn’t?have and?while you could easily mistake these as high-end products they are both priced under ?10 and are very affordable to my readers.
The price reflects not on the packaging or quality of the products, which are filled only with the best ingredients and the highly sought after Hyaluronic Acid. You will find this humectant (a moisture binding ingredient) in most skincare products worth their salt these days, the difference here is the other ingredients that compliment it and you don’t have to buy into animal cruelty with these products.
All products are:
- Natural & Organic
- Suitable for vegans
- Against animal testing
- Certified organic
- Have the Natural Cosmetics Standard stamp

Not only is the price the great thing about this product, just look at those ingredients! So much natural power from mother nature to repair and hydrate your skin with minimal effort.
I love using this treatment after a face mask a few times a week to give my skin a real treat while I sleep. This product really gives a literal meaning to the phrase ‘beauty sleep’.
It feels light but nourishing on your skin while giving it room to breathe, so is still great this time of year. The texture doesn’t feel greasy at all and it has a lovely subtle smell. It’s natural with no harsh perfumes to irritate your skin if your face can be a bit sensitive. * A little also goes a long way so this product should last you quite a while.

[otw_shortcode_quote border_style=”bordered”]Our Eye Contour Cream is enriched with natural plant oils to plump away fine lines, nourish and brighten the delicate skin around the eye. Our Chilean Rosehip Oil is combined with specially selected plant extracts including firming Hyaluronic Acid, tightening Eyebright and highly moisturising Sacha Inchi.[/otw_shortcode_quote]
Apply a small amount to the delicate skin around the eye area with gentle tapping movements. For best results follow up with our Face & Decolletage Firming Serum.
I’m at the age now in my late 20s that I need to be using eye cream and anti ageing measures. What I love about this eye cream is its light texture that absorbs seamlessly into the skin, It doesn’t feel greasy or heavy at all.
I like to pop mine in the fridge for an extra cooling treat on my eyes. I don’t really get puffy eyes but they get tired for sure, hazards of the job. So this is a nice treat and has become part of my nighttime?skincare ritual. Its compact size makes it perfect for travel too and can easily be chucked in an overnight bag (it would be great for long-haul flights).
Rosehip (Rosa Rubiginosa)?is one of the main ingredients in both products and has so many benefits.
[otw_shortcode_quote border_style=”bordered”]Rosa Mosqueta Rosehip Seed Oil is the most effective plant oil for skin repair and restoration and has been the beauty secret of South American women for centuries! It can help to fade the appearance of scars, stretch marks, sun damage and visible signs of ageing and is also effective at hydrating dry skin.
Our Rosehip Seed Oil is pressed from the rosehips of a wild rose called Rosa Affines Rubiginosa, which grows high in the Chilean Andes. It?s packed with skin-boosting nutrients to prevent oxidative damage including vitamins A, C and beta-carotene and is also a rich source of Essential Fatty Acids Omega 3, 6 and 9. These fatty acids promote healthy cell regeneration, which is why it?s so effective at fading scars and blemishes.[/otw_shortcode_quote]
